Wrongful use of a D.E.A number

Hi, I have a extremely close person in my life that has found herself in trouble. She obtained a dea number and used it about 10-20 times to get prescriptions of vicodin for her personal consumption. I am going to try to take the rap for her and I was wondering what the punishment would be.

Depending upon whether the state also prosecutes, you or your "friend" are looking at 10-30 years. Parole might be possible after 14 years. Each time they used the number it was a seperate criminal act. It is theoretically possible that the sentence could be 99 years, but if they have an attorney, and no prior convictions, it would more likely be 10-30 years. If there is a perjury, tampering, or interference with justice type crime also proved (for lying about who used the number, or doing anyting with the drugs or number) then the sentence could be longer.

Good luck
