Legal Question in DUI Law in Missouri

DUI law

I went to court last Tuesday and was put on probabtion for first offense. Was to spend two days in jail before starting my meetings with probabtion officer. Was nervous and scared about spending time in jail so had two glasses of wine before reporting. Officer smelled alcohol on breath and I blew .4 so they told me to have my husband come back and pick me up as I could not serve my time at that point. What will happen to me now? I am to call the judge on Monday.

Re: DUI law

If you do not already have an attorney, you should get one. The facts you described show a possible probation violation. That means you could go to jail for the full term of your suspended sentence (often 180 days). You need to have someone assist you before it gets worse.

Yes, you need to make contact with your probation officer and possible the court. But, first you need to do the two-day period. It will help you to have an attorney help you arrange and get through the two-day requrement. If you mess up again, you could do the entire 180 day stretch.

Good Luck
