Please contact my office if you are in the St. Louis Metro area. If you are outside the St. Louis area, I would advise you to contact an attorney immediately DWI, especially involving an accident is a very serious matter. There are 2 steps, the administrative and the criminal aspect of the case. A guilty please results in not only large fines (which are unavoidable and can be quite more than $600) but enrollment in SATOP and suspension and/or revocation of your license and 8 points on your license which stays with you for years and years. You need to have an attorney present to represent your interest. If you haven't obtained an attorney by your court date, I would request a continuace from the judge so that you can retain an attorney. Go to my website at www.blumenthalfirm.com and check out the info that I have on Missouri's abuse and lose laws.

Re: dwi

You definitely need to hire an attorney to represent you. You can not afford to take a conviction for the charge of driving while intoxicated. You will lose your license for sure if that happens. You should contac t an attorney in the area where you will need to go to court. The attorney will get the case continued and then fully advise you. The attorney will either be able to defefnd the charge or negotiate a plea bargain which will avoid jail, possibly avoid a conviction being entered on your record, avoid a large fine, and hopefull avoid your driver's license being suspended or revoked. I have handled hundreds of these over the last thirty years, and you may call me for a free telephone consultation.
