Minor in possession
5 days before my sons 21 birthday he was give a a minor in possession for a 1/8 of inch of beer in a bottle. The bottle was tossed in a trash can and my son was in the bowel alley. The control board agent came in the building and ask for I.D. he then made my son go out into the trash and remove the bottle from the grabge can. He told my son that there better beer in the bottle or they would have a real problem. He got the bottle out with the spider in it and gave him the ticket. What are my recourses? My son was not driving nor was he approached at the car.

Re: Minor in possession
One thing I can tell you is that your son does NOT want to plead guilty to the charge. It may cause unintended negative legal effects in later life. In some cases it is possible to plead "not guilty" and win at trial. This may require substantial attorney's fees due to the time required to be expended by the attorney. In many other cases it is possible to negotiate a plea bargain under which the defendant (your son) receives no conviction on his record, although he may have to undergo an evaluation and class and/or perform alternative community service.
