Re: M.i.P of alcohol

Your question does not tell us whether you were charged in a municipal court with the violation of a municipal ordinance or you were charged in the circuit court with a violation of a county ordinance or state statute. this little fact would determine the actual answer to your question. No matter where you are charged or what law you are charged with violating, you should not plead guilty. The conviction for this offense will remain on your record, and any officer who ever pulls you over will have immediate access to this information and probably treat you differently because of it. Any prosecutor, or judge who ever has a case with you as the defendant will also have this information. Any future employer, any college application, the armed forces, loan applications, . . . there are countless examples of how a conviction on this charge would potentially hurt you sometime down the road. Please hire an attorney.
