Legal Question in DUI Law in Missouri

My sister was charged with a persistent offender dwi in Missouri. She was on probation for a dwi, 2nd degree assualt because a child was injured in previous one. As well as a possession charge. All 3 charges had a 4 year sentence with them to run concurrent. She did 120 day shock last time and was on parole for the charges when she recently recevied this dwi. My family has temporary custody of her child and am wondering what type of sentence to expect out of this one so that we can prepare ourselves as far as our niece is concerned. Her lawyer seems to be telling her that she may get out on house arrest, but wondering how likely this is. Will she more than likely do some time or be able to plea this to a lesser sentence? The charges did occur in two different counties if that makes a difference.

Thanks for any replies in advance.

Based upon the information you provided, it sounds like your sister will be doing the remainder of her previous four year sentences, plus maybe additional time for the new charge. She may get a lot less. It might be better to prepare your Bruce for the worst, and hope for something better to occur.

Good luck
