Legal Question in Education Law in Missouri

Teacher student harassment

My 12 year old son has been harassed by teachers and principal for 2 years. His grades are failing because of it, he comes home and cries, and has even talked suicide, he says the other kids pick on him and make fun of him because of it, he says it embarrasses him and makes him feel humiliated. I have asked the school on several occasions to please stop and have numerous meetings with them, it is still going on. With everything going on in public schools today it makes me fear of my sons safety, I have also brought this to there attention, still it keeps going on.

Re: Teacher student harassment

Hard to address this without more facts. However,

it would appear that you need to kick it up a level.

It might help to write a letter to the superintendent and copy all

school board members explaining the situation and putting

them on "official notice" that your son is being forced

to endure a "hostile school environment" and if steps

are not taken to remedy the situation, you will retain

legal counsel and seek civil damages. Then, do just that!
