My mom just passed away and owes some back taxes. I am the beneficiary of a very small life insurance policy and I was wondering if I am obligated to pay her tax bill to the government? I live in the state of Missouri.
Thank you.

I am sorry to hear of yrou loss. My condolences. Although there can be some rare situations that alter the determination, it does not appear that you personally will be obligated to pay your mother's tax bill.
Good luck
