my mother was recently placed in a nursing home. they are now requesting monthly payment for her. how do i protect her assets? I have power of attorney for her. do i need to transfer everything into my name? she has cd's as well as investment accounts. I would greatly appreciate any advice you can give me. thanks so much.

The information you seek is too detailed for this forum. You did nto indicate why you are nto going to use her assets to pay the nursing home. If your mothe has not already employed an attorney to advise her as to her estate plan, you need to. If you mishandle the assets you could become personally liable to the creditors that do not get paid, and the governmental agencies that pay on her behalf. Many attorneys offer a free or low cost initial consultation.
