Internet business
I am looking into the legality of an internet business formed to run football pools, 13 run baseball pools, golf pools, soccer pools, etc...non-cash prizes to be awarded to winning entrants. is this legal? in the U.S. or what countries would it be legal in?

You will probably want to retain a criminal law attorney, a tax attorney and perhaps an attorney to advise as to the trademark and copyright remifications of what you propose. You can start with US attorneys and then go with counsel for the EU, Caribbean or other jurisdictions that will offer your service.
You will need a good deal of start up capital. If you are attempting to do it on the cheap or without legal counsel, you run agreat risk of serving serious federal prison time. Beware, what you propose is probably illegal in most of the US.
