Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Missouri
I was just offered a music contract from Tate Music Group, they are asking me for $2000 up front. Is this a legitimate music contract?

You did not indicate what this "music contract" is intended for. It sounds like one of those you pay us mopney and we will listen to yrou music at least once. Then, if somone starts buying your music (whcih we may or may produce), then we get aportion of the gross or net funds.
If you think this is one of those, "You create music, we will record it and put it for sae, and then give you money" it is probably not anything like that. If you are foolish enough to agree to this deal without representation, then you need to atleast fidn out wha tyou get in return for paying $2,000. What are you buying for yrou $2,000?
Good luck
