Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
I had my 3 year old and my new born taken by the dfs and put into protective custody just 5 1/2 months ago because when I gave birth to my son he had drugs in his system and when they showed up at my home n had me to go in for drug screen I was dirty too. I did eveverything they asked of me drug classes couineling random drug screens which I have past. I was allowed 40hrs per week with them supervised for first 3 months and then was a blue to g see t a in home trial which as well had a worker sit with us in our home 12 hrs a week for 11 weeks and that worker was satisfied and closed myvcase with them. Now my dfs worker and judge are closing my case in Feb. My question is what happens when the judge closes the case? I was told by a few ppl that the dfs will show up on my door step anytime they want and drug screen me and interview me again whenever they want. If I have done everything they have asked of me jumped through all the hoops and never caused a problem in past all their test do I have to by law open my door or obey them with random drug screens when t hy eybwant. I don't know my rights but I know I've done everything they have asked of me up to thisvpoint and just want to start thus new chapter in my life without them in it.

A parent that had a case opened, should never a flunk a ua or hair test for the next year. Such a parent probably has to answer the door, but may not have to let them in the residence (unless they have a warrant or Order). This is general information. You need to consult directly with a family law attorney, in your area, toget advice on the particular facts of your situation.
