Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I have a 4 year old daughter that I am trying to get custody of. Her mother and I were never married. Her mom is in prison and my daughter is staying with her great grandmother. She is fighting me in this custody battle and is refusing to let me see my child. Does she have the right to keep her from me and does she have any chance of winning custody?

Have you been determined to be the legal father? Is your name on the birth certificate? If not, you need to file a lawsuit to have that done, and provide for custody. We can't say what grandmother's rights are without more info. I have handled such cases for 36 years. Feel free to contact me directly.
