Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
I have a 17 year old son who left home a little over a week ago. According to Missouri law, he has the right to leave at 17. He's adamant that he will not return home, and this is his decision. Unfortunately, we are still responsible for him because he is a minor. (Nice laws, Missouri!) Is there a way to terminate our parental rights and responsibilities? We still love our 17 year old, but we have a 5 year old with a rare genetic disorder. We can't be put at risk for financial ruin.
