Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I am 19 years old and a stay home mom. I live with my mother and younger brother. I am unemployed. I have a 5 month old. His father lives in a different state and wants custody. He has a job and lives with his father. What would be my outcome for fighting to have full custody of my son?

An honest attorney is not going to answer your question by telling you what the outcome of a custody battle would be based upon the facts you have provided. Your question implies that you were not married at the time the child was born. If so, then you need to have the father of your child legally determined to be the father and ordered to pay child support. since you and the child live in MIssouri, you should hire an attorney and file a suit without delay. I have handled hundreds of these cases in the thirty-three years I have been practicing law, and I might be able to help you myself. If you do not already have an attorney, and if you are in my geographical area, you may call me for a free telephone consultation.
