Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I am an adult resident of Missouri, as is my fiance. If we get married in Illinois by someone ordained in the state of Illinois, is it a legal marriage in the state of Missouri? Thanks.

Your situation is like many couples who go to Las Vegas to get married. If you could legally marry in Missouri, then the marriage occurring outside Missouri (Illinois) will be recognized in Missouri as if the wedding occured here.

Good luck
