Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

What age is a child considered to be old enough to determine which parent he/she wants to reside with? The child lives in the state of KS with the mother and the father lives in the state of MO (30 mins away from each other; just across state lines).

Under Missouri law a child never does legally determine which parent the child lives with, presuming that the issue has been determined by a Court. Of course, once the child is emancipated, the child can live wherever he or she likes.
