Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Aggravated assault of HIV positive individual

Could you tell me if there is a law or recourse from someone who is HIV positive and purposely spits in the face of another? Is this an arrestable offense? What action can be legally taken against this individual in the state of Missouri. Who should I contact for more information.

Call the Police and report this assault. Then seek medical attention and tell them what happened.

First of all, I hope that you do not contract the disease because of this incident. If you do, then I believe that you would have a cause of action, that is to say that you could file a civil lawsuit for monetary damages against the other person. Obviously, any monetary judgment you obtain and collect can not return your good health. In the meantime, I would suggest that you contact your local law enforcement authorities to file a complaint and seek criminal prosecution.
