Re: anullment

My question to you would be, "Why do you want an anullment?" If it is for religious reasons then you should consult with your priest, pastor, or religious counselor. If there is some other valid reason, then it is possible in the state of Missouri to obtain a Court Order stating that the marriage is annulled. However, you must have certain facts which satisfy the legal requirements. One such case I handled recently involved a woman who "married" my client even though the woman had never divorced her previous husband. Since bigamy is illegal, and a married person cannot legally marry a second time while still married, the second marriage is a nullity, and the Court in this case issued a Judgment anulling the second marriage. Each case is different, of course, and I would need to know the specific reasons and facts in your case in order to give you legal advice. If you are not already represented by legal counsel you may call me for a free telephone consultation at 314-727-2822.
