Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
Bank accounts
My husband recently put all of our business accounts at the bank only in his name. Will this be a problem if we were to get a divorce? Do I still have legal rights to them?

Re: Bank accounts
This could be a problem for you or him, if you divorce and more so for you. If you are both on the account, you each have access to the funds. Such as when he took funds from the account with both of your names on it, and put it into one with just his name on it. If it looks like you two are going to split, he can get to teh money much faster thatn you would be able to.
Is the business a corporation? If so, you may have access if you are an officer of the corporation. If not, you have no right to the money or account informantion. If it is incoporated, you will not be personally liable for debts of the buisness. If it is not a coporation, it may be less likely that you would be liable for the business debts, since you do not have acess to the company funds, while he would remain liable. Sometimes there are business and legal reasons for putting someone on an account or not.
Do you have any idea why he moved the money to an account that you are not on?
Good Luck,
