Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My boyfriend is not divorced yet; however, Missouri is a "no fault" divorce state, and I was not seeing him until his seperation. His "ex" tried to serve me papers. How is this legal? And do I have any recourse?

"Papers?" Don't you think that it might be more helpful to tell us what "papers" you are talking about. Also, you state that he is not divorced yet, and then you refer to his "ex". Why don't you refer to her as his wife since that is what she is.
