What circuit are you in? Things are done differently in different places. In may places the case management conference allows the attorneys an opportunity to meet with the Judge and discuss whether the case will be settled or will need to be tried. Sometimes a trial date is set,perhaps a pre-trial conference date is set, discovery and motion practice deadlines are set and so forth. There is absolutely no way that the divorce becomes final on that day because, even if the divorce is setltled and submitted and approved by the Judge on that date, it will not be final for thirty days. BTW, this is something you should be discussing with your attorney.
