change of custody of child

My daughter was served papers for change of custody of her son. She is ready to deliver her 2nd child andy day and has been told she cannot travel to springfield. What papers does she need to fild to delay the court appearance, and what papers does she need to file with the court to go back in and protest the new action?

I would strongly suggest that your daughter hire an attorney in Springfield if that is where the motion to change custody is pending. That attorney will be able to file an entry of appearance and request additional time within which to plead. That attorney will also be able to advise what pleadings need to be prepared and filed on her behalf subsequently. Good luck.
