Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

name change after divorce

I was divorced over 10 years ago in Missouri and now reside in Arkansas. I want to resume using my maiden name. Which forms should I fill out (Missouri? Arkansas?), and does this have to be done in the county and/or state that I reside in? There are no children involved.

Generally speaking, anyone can go by any name they choose. Such an alternate name is often referred to as an "alias". However, I believe what you are asking about will require you to follow the Arkansa legal requirements for changing your name legally. Please consult a local lawyer where you live.
