child name change after divorce.
My son needs his name changed. The father on the birth certificate is not the father. I need to know what to do to take his name off and change my childs last name. I also need to know if i can change the rest of his name at the same time or if i have to do is seperatly.

Your post does not mention whether or not you were divorced from the son's father. Perhaps there was a Declaration of Paternity as the result of a paternity suit or as the result of your applying to the state for assistance. Perhaps you simply named this man as the father on the birth certificate. It may be necessary to file a Petition in court seeking a formal name change for your son. This is the standard procedure.
