child custody

My daughter has 3 kids with a guy who is in a federal prison on drug charges,what would she have to do to get full custody of kids,he still has 5 years to serve?

You really did not tell us enough to be able to help you. Was your daughter married to the father of the children? Are they married now? If not, was there a paternity suit determining him to be the father? Does he have any court ordered rights of custody,visitation or temporary custody? If you will provide the relevant information, we might be able to offer you some guidance.
