Child Custody Guidelines
What are my chances of having at least joint custody of my two young boys (ages 9 & 5) or what are my chances of being found to be an unfit mother in a custody issue if husband files for divorce after he finds out that I have been having a long-term affair?

The law presumes that joint legal custody is in the best interest of the children, so normally joint custody will be awarded unless the legal presumption is overcome by fairly strong evidence. The fact that you've had a long term affair does not make you an unfit mother.
