Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
child custody
Parents--married 3 years-- have filed for divorce but there is no custody agreement proposed yet. Husband took the kids for an agreed upon visit and refuses to allow wife to see or talk to the kids, (aged 5 and 16 months) He will not tell her where they are, and refuses to speak to her or contact her in any way for days at a time. Children have been removed from their home, the oldest has been pulled out of Pre kindergarten twice by the father, and they have nothing that belongs to them with them, wherever they are staying.
Husband has filed for divorce but has nothing except his proposed parenting plan on file. He has agreed to allow her to see the kids at a public restaurant. Can she put the kids in her car and leave with them when she sees them? How could he stop her legally from doing so?

Re: child custody
What kind of parents would put their children through a tug-of-war, where either parent might snatch and keep them away from the other parent at any time? How do you think this is going to effect children of these ages? If you are the mother, hire an attorney immediately and the attorney will obtain an appropriate court order for you without delay. In some cases where both parents show a conscious disregard for the well-being of the children, the court places custody of the children elsewhere. Surely neither one of you would want that to happen.
