child endangerment(childcare worker)
can you explain why i have to have a lawyer due to the fact that civil drop my case and state picked it up.

One does not get sentenced to jail from a civil case. If the state has taken yoru case over, you may be getting purused in criminal court. The Constitution respects a right to counsel where the defendnat (you) is in jeopardy of serving a significant prison sentence. The Court may be pushing for counsel, to lessen the liklihood of a successful appeal for lack of counsel.
