Child Support

My boyfriend recently found out he has a felony warrant out for him for child support but he has been paying it so how can this be? Who would he need to contact to get this straightened out?

Re: Child Support

Unfortunately, your boyfriend needs to take care of the warrant before he worries about anything else. Sometimes it is possible for a defense lawyer to obtain a bond reduction or even get a court order approving the release of the defendant on recognizance even before the defendant is arrested. Then, within twenty-four hours in our jurisdiction at least the defendant turns himself in and is processed and released. At that point the defense lawyer can see what the evidence is against the defendant and also approach the prosecutor with the evidence tending to show that the child support has been paid. If you are located in the Eastern half of the state and would like a free telephone consultaion either you or your boyfriend may call me at 314-727-2822. I have handled many non-payment of child support felony cases.
