Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Child Support

My husband and his exwife have been divorced since 2004, my husband would like to have the child support increased. Also, she is behind in child support, can we have the funds go through the courts and can we report the amount she is behind?

Re: Child Support

Depending upon the facts your husband may be able to file a Motion to Modify the terms of the Divorce Judgment to increase the amount of child support and to include an additonal payment by his ex to reduce the arrearage each month. It is fairly standard to require payments going through the child support collection center, and it may be possible to have a wage assignment put into effect. If your husband does not already have an attorney, either of you may call me for a free telephone consultation.
