Child Support Modification when laid off

My husband has been laid off for 6 months. My income has been used to make his child support payments. Can his support payments be lowered based only on his income even though I have been helping up to this point?

Re: Child Support Modification when laid off

Child support is the obligation of the parent obligor. Your husband's child support can be modified to his present situation if the judge finds that his unemployment was involuntary.
