Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
Child Support
I am currently paying the state of VA child support. The child support was caculated to the fact the my child was attending child care in the state of VA. As soon as the child support was ordered, my ex immediately move back to St. Louis, Missouri. Being my child and his mother are both residents of State of Missouri, should I be paying that state instead of Va.

Re: Child Support
Your post does not contain enough information. Why are you paying the "state of VA"? Did your wife apply for and receive state aid which you became obligated to pay back? Is there an administrative Order or a court Judgment ordering you to pay child support? If so, who are you ordered to pay it to? Are you current? What does the existing Order say about your ex and the child relocating out of state? I have been handling family law matters for over 23 years, and I would be willing to give you a free telephone consultation if you will call me at 314-727-2822. I may also need to review copies of the pertinent legal documents befor giving you any legal advice. I look forward to hearing from you.
