Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

child support

my son is nineteen and has attended college and is not making the grade. he is about to fail three of his four classes for this semester. what is my legal obligation and how do i start emanciaption.

If your son actually does fail those three courses, it seems to me that you would be entitled to file a Motion to Terminate your obligation to pay child support. You may do this in some counties by completing a form provided at the office of the Circuit Clerk, or you may hire an attorney to assist you if you choose. I would watch out for attorneys who ONLY respond to questions on this list as a way to solicit new clients, without ever giving anyone any substantive assistance by responding to the question asked.
