Does the law in Missouri say that child support stops at age 18?

Yes, unless the child enrolls in an institution of higher learning by October 1 following graduation from highschool, fulfills all the the other statutory requirements regarding schooling, and provides the non-custodial parent with a lot of info set forth in the statute at the beginning of each semester thererafter. In such a case, the child support obligation continues until the child graduates from the institution of higher education or reaches the age of 22 years, whichever occurs first. Of course, if the child has certain special needs, such as in cases of disability, then the child support obligation may continue indefinitely.
