can a mother keep her child from the father , are there any legal ways to make custody arrangements even if your not married

Assuming that you are the father, you could file a Paternity suit asking the Court to declare you to be the legal father and provide you with legally enforceable custody rights. The Court will also enter an order for child support. If you are the mother, then you should obtain a legally enforceable child support order for your child.
