Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
Cohabitation Agreements
My partner and I made an oral agreement 4 years ago about our finances, medical decisions. property, etc. An applied agreement has been in effect for the most of these 4 years, with my partner even claiming me as a dependant on his taxes. He was involved in a serious accident which has left him incapacitated. His family has completely taken over and do not respect his decisions he entrusted in me. They are now refusing to let me visit him. Would a court see this oral and applied agreement as enough proof to grant me rights in decision making and visitation of my partner?

Re: Cohabitation Agreements
Not likely that Court will prioritize right to decide so that unwritten promise to non-spouse before a blood relative.
