Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

collecting on child support

im in missouri and my ex is in california. my support was modified in may. in june he quit his job and started working for cash under the table. he hasnt paid any of the modified ammount. and abandoned the kids. im having difficulty dealing with the child support agent because he is in another state. missouri says they have no information on his work. and they say the address for him is wrong its the same address that his mother just visited him at a month ago. im not sure what to do. im trying to raise his two kids on 116.50 dollars per month and its not working out. the modification went through in may and thats when he quit his job. i obviously dont have the money to go out and hire a lawyer as all of my money goes to raising my two kids. any help would be great. thanks

You might consider contacting the Missouri Division of Family Services. One agency within the Division used to be called "Child Support Enforcement", and they may be able to help you. Good luck.
