The Court sustains application of GAL for advancement of additional fees and orders $1,000 paid by each party into Court registry within 40 days hereof. Does this mean we have to pay within 40 days of said date filed? or next court date

If you have an attorney, you should ask your own attorney any and all questions you have. If you do not hav an attorney, you certainly need to hire one. Your question seems to indicate that you do not understand the meaning of the word "hereof". This is just one very small example of "legalese", or "lawyerspeak", lawyers (and judges) using the jargon of the legal profession, just as health care providers use the jargon of their profession, or accountants, or engineers, or just about anyone else. To answer your question, the court apparently and obviously ordered you to pay in your share of the GAL fees within forty days of the date that the Judge signed the Order.
