Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I went through a custody case December of 2009 to get custody of my kids. I ended up having to cut a deal because of my situation. My 2 girls are miserable with their mom and step dad and claim they are being smacked in the mouth and their heads literally slammed into a corner. DFS refuses to help me and I only have the word of my 2 girls. With a parenting plan in order, how can I get the judge to reverse the decision so that I can have custody of them so this does not happen anymore?

You can file a Motion to Modify the existing Court Order. Given the facts you have provided, a Guardian Ad Litem would be appointed to represent the children, and if the abuse is present, it is likely that the Guardian Ad Litem would recommend a change of custody to protect the children. I have handled many similar cases in the thirty-three years that I have been practicing law, and I might be able to help you. Please feel free to contact me at my office if you woudl like to make an appointment.
