Is there an age that a child can choose not to have visitation with non-custodial parent?

Generally speaking, the non-custodial parent has a legal right to visitation (as set forth in a Court Order). The custodial parent has a corresponding legal duty to provide the child for the Court Ordered visitation. The child does not have any legal rights regarding visitation unless the visitation would cause harm to the child of course. As a practical matter, the child should discuss the issue with the non-custodial parent. Most non-custodial parents will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue with the child. No one benefits from visitation where the child is an unwilling participant. I wish you all the best of luck.
