Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

custody

Me and my ex just seperated after 8 years. We have two kids. Does she atomaticly get custody or can I at least have loint custody. Also, she and the kids moved out of state, can she doe that? We both wanted the breakup and have managed to resolve everything like child support, who keeps the house, splitting the bills, and belongings ourselves without the courts getting involved, but If I'm entitled to my kids, that's the only thing I care about. Plus my kids are going from a nice house in a good school district, being raised at home, to a small apartment in a worse school system, on welfare, in daycare, and a state away from me and there grandparents. I appriciate any help I can get.

Re: custody

Are you the legal father of these children? Did you sign an affidavit of paternity at the time each of them was born? Were you determined to be the legal father in an administrative action by the Division of Child Support Enforcement or the Familisy Services Division? Did a Judge determine you to be the lega father in a Paternity suit? If we had some answers to these questions, we might be able to help you.
