Under Missouri law, child support is owed to the parent, altering the child legal name, may not terminate a parents obligation to pay support. Your daughter may be able to start using the hyphenated name, and later petition the court to change her legal name.
Good luck

Your daughter is an adult for certain legal purposes, and she can hire an attorney to obtain a Name Change. It will not effect any child support obligation.
