Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My daughter is pregnant and due in November. The baby's father abused her physically a few months back while pregnant stating he hopes she loses the baby so she does not want to give the baby his last name. She also doesn't want to give him her last name as she has always hated it. My question is, can she give the baby my mother's maiden name legally. We are in Missouri.

Yes. And, she should get an Adult Abuse Order of Protection against this baby daddy!

Yes, she can give the baby any name she wants.
