Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
My daughter went to school and had a bruise. She said I kicked her and called her a bad name. This is not true. The police and a family service person showed up at my door. I talked with them and the DSS person said there was no safety issue and there were discrepancies in her story. I want to help my daughter, but I don't want to get in any trouble from my child lying on me. Help

DFS isn't just there to take kids away. PErhaps you can consult with the worker who investigated your case. They deal with this issue very often. Ask her, "how do I address this lyig with my daughter, wihtout making her fearful about telling me if anyone evers really does abuse her?" If she has time in her schedule, the investigator will be happy that you asked, nd more than willing to give you advice. If you do nto want to do this, the perhaps you can discuss the matter wiht your daughter's pediatrician. In the mean time, tak with yrou daughter about the importance of knowing and remebering hte differnce between the truth and untruths( lies, stories , jokes, etc.)
good luck
