Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My daughter a year ago had a one night stand. Now the little girl is one year old never met the one night stand and he's come out of the woodwork wanting a Paternity test. If he's the father is he entitled to pay child support or back child support and does he get visitation with having never even met the baby? We live in Missouri

Yes. Your daughter should consult directly with a family law attorney in her area. She needs advice specific to her unique facts.

If this "one night stand" is the biological father of the child, and the DNA test proves it, he will be entitled to all of the rights enjoyed by fathers of children who are born in wedlock ( an apparently fading tradition). Yes, he will have a duty to contribute child support, Both your daughter and the "one night stand" should have legal representation.
