Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

my daughters father has had no contact with her since she was born she is two an half and now he wants to see her on a regular basis but i also know that he has been on drugs and i was just wondering what i can do legally?

You coudl Petition the court for a supervised-visitation only order. You will have to show some proof that he is a potential health or safety threat to the child.

Were you married to the man when the child was born? Or, did hesign an affidavit of paternity? Is there an administrative determination that he is the legal father of this child? If the answer to all of these questions is "No.", then he is not the child's legal father. In any event, unless you were married at the time the child was born, the man has no legal rights to see the child until a court says so.
