Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My daughter's mother has been sick for the past 2 months and has been unable to meet the needs of my daughter. She has been living under the care of several family members. Do to the unstable living conditions and the health of her mother, I want to gain full custody her. How do I go about getting custody of her if she's in Florida and I reside in Missouri?

Where was the Court Order concerning custody filed? If it was in Missouri, you can file a Motion to Modify in the same Court and have the other party served by the sheriff where she lives. If it was in Florida, you may have to file your Motion down there, and fight it out in the Florida Court.
