Declaring someone incompetent

I live in Missouri and would like to know the procedure for having someone deemed legally incompetent. I'm not sure what area of law this falls under.

Depending upon the facts and upon your goal, it may be possible to file a Petition in the Probate Court in the county where the person lives seeking an appointment of a guardian and also possibly a conservator. I would suggest that you consult with and hire an attorney who is experienced in this area of law in the county where the legal proceedings would take place. Good luck.
