Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Divorce & Home Mortgage

I am in the process of divorcing my husband with whom I have two children. I moved out of the house with my two children about 5 months ago. Since I moved out, My husband has taken out a couple of personal loans, bought two cars, and has yet to pay me any child support or pay the mortgage since I moved out. It isn't the best divorce and his messed up head is making it drag on and on. Our mortgage is 4 months in the rears. Last night my husband told me he plans on moving into an apartment and has no plans on catching up with the mortgage or sell the home. He is going to let it foreclose just to spite me. I don't have the money to pay the mortgage right now. My concern is my credit, I could not care any less about him, but letting this house foreclose for no reason is stupid and ignorant. Both our names are on the house, he's going to let it foreclose to screw me over even though he's screwing himself over. Is there anything I can do?

Re: Divorce & Home Mortgage

If you are going through a divorce then you should be represented by an attorney. If you are represented by an attorney then you should direct this question to him or her. If you are not already represented by an attorney then you may call me for a free telephone consultation at 314-727-2822. If I am able to help you I will quote you a modest retainer fee and then schedule an appointment.
